Public offline reference copies
If you prepare offline access, your browser caches the public reference app. You can also choose up to 20 public help or source-review copies, totaling at most 1 MB, stored on that device. These copies contain no private notes, photographs, account responses or authentication tokens. Download and review dates remain visible; copies may become stale or be removed by browser storage eviction. Remove individual copies or clear public downloads in Offline. Clear the site's browser storage to remove the app cache too. This does not delete online account records.
Information we collect
First-party analytics: page views, feature usage, and on-site search terms. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel for this system. Our server uses the request IP address and user-agent string to derive a salted, pseudonymous visitor identifier. The analytics tables retain that identifier—not the raw IP address or user-agent string—and it changes each day to limit routine cross-day aggregation. It should not be treated as anonymous. This first-party system does not use analytics cookies. Advertising providers may separately use cookies as described below.
Local preferences: theme and units stay in your browser. Calculator profiles stay local unless you deliberately save account-backed data.
Saved setups and Range Log references: Account saves retain calculator inputs, names, optional exact-load identities and revision dates. Explicit browser-profile imports retain a private ID and content fingerprint to reconcile retries, even after the account copy is removed. Range Log sessions retain historical reference labels when a linked setup is renamed or removed.
Correction notices: Private saved loads and comparisons can retain a baseline of published corrections and notices marked read. New saves establish a baseline; older saves require an explicit choice. Removing a saved item removes its notice state.
Reference packages: PDFs of selected references and saved range cards are generated in your browser. Personal notes are included only when selected; package notes are not saved to your account or added to public share links.
Contact messages: Resend processes the contact details and message you submit so the message can be delivered to us.
Newsletter preferences: When sign-ups are available, subscribing requires a confirmation link sent to your email address and your explicit confirmation on CaliberAtlas. An account alone does not subscribe you. We store your email, subscription status, confirmation and opt-out timestamps, and temporary verification records. Resend delivers the email links you request. Links expire after 24 hours; expired request records are removed during newsletter processing once they are 30 days old. We retain opt-out history to suppress future sends. Use newsletter preferences to request a secure unsubscribe link without signing in. If that service is unavailable, contact us; a contact request requires manual handling.
Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and device, browser, or other identifiers as a consequence of serving, personalizing, securing, and measuring ads. Browsing and ad-interaction data used for these purposes should not be treated as anonymous. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google's partner-sites page.
Accounts and authentication
Supabase handles account authentication. If you choose Google sign-in, Google also processes the sign-in information needed to authenticate you. CaliberAtlas stores the user ID and basic profile needed to associate saved range cards, favorites, range logs, named loads and comparisons with an account; we do not have access to account passwords. Named loads and comparisons are private to your account and can be removed from My Saved Work. Account-deletion requests can be made through the contact page.
User-submitted content
Comments, ratings, and submitted cartridge data are associated with the submitting account. Content intended to be public may be visible to other users and remains subject to moderation.
Service providers
Render provides application hosting.
Neon provides the PostgreSQL database used for account, application, and newsletter subscription records.
Supabase provides authentication and account services.
Google OAuth processes authentication data only when Google sign-in is chosen.
Resend handles contact messages and requested newsletter verification links.
Google AdSense provides advertising and may set advertising cookies.
Your choices
You may browse without an account, unsubscribe through a secure link requested from newsletter preferences or contact us for help, request access to or deletion of account data, and control personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. We retain newsletter opt-out status so we can suppress future sends. CaliberAtlas is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from people under 18.
